One of the many super fun things we did on our annual trip to the Leelanau Peninsula was take a cruise on Grand Traverse Bay on a 112 foot wooden schooner. The Traverse Tall Ship Company runs the tours, sailing three times a day, every day. The also book specialty tours, including the one we were on: The Moomers Ice Cream Sail!
What's not to like about sailing and ice cream? And what's really not to like about sailing and Moomers ice cream? Moomers is a Traverse City based company which just happened to receive Good Morning America's "Best Scoop in America" designation in 2008. We sampled five different flavors as part of our two hour cruise and all of my shipmates agreed: Best. Day. Ever.
All you have to do is look at them to know that!
