Rev up your stodgie old built-ins this spring with a quick and easy face-lift by adding some color or texture to the backs of the shelves. Wallpaper or paint works equally well to inject a little drama to an otherwise utilitarian piece of furniture.
This has got to be one of the easiest ways to give a room a little Wowwie-Wow-Wow...on a budget and in less than a weekend. The end result is a cheerful change for a much anticipated change of seasons. The problem is, they're all so pretty how do you choose???
I've read lots of other posts about this easy trick, but some have suggested using really inexpensive materials. Now, I'm not a lavish spender by any means and, as you know, we're in the midst of Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University, but...sometimes when you really cheap out, it shows. You don't need to break the bank, but I think it's important for the end product to look nice. So, use the best quality products (paint, wallpaper) you can afford and the finished product will reflect that quality for years to come. Or, if you're like some people, until you get antsy to make a change.
With love from The Valley of the Sun.

I gave your blog a shout out today! Of course you already know that, but usually readers don't see the post before I get to them! :)
